Introduction
In his discourse of June 10, 1989, Calcutta on the subject of "Microvita
and Cosmology", Shrii P.R. Sarkar introduced an altogether new spiritual
philosophy of Creation with a clearly scientific inclination. 1)
Earlier, Shrii Sarkar noted: "There should be extensive
research work regarding this microvitum or these microvita. Our task is
gigantic and we are to start our research work regarding these microvita
immediately without any further delay, otherwise many problems in modern
society will not be solved in a nice way." 2)
It is very well possible that certain problems of modern society might
not easily, or not at all, be solved by traditional science, or by spiritual
cult alone. These problems could range from the fields of psychology,
social- and life sciences to environmental challenges, health care, food-,
water- and energy supply, communication, transport and even warfare.
In terms of requirements for a civilisation to survive ("asti",
"bhati" and "ananda") this proposed solution could
fall within the category of an advanced socio-economic theory for a spiritual
civilisation.
Regarding the new "microvita cosmology" (the term which we
will use for convenience), Shrii Sarkar says: "this is a new line
of thinking [..], new Samskrta terms have to be created." Does
this imply that the traditional spiritual theories of Brahma Cakra ("Circle
of Creation") and the Tantric Theory of Creation have become obsolete
and should be replaced? Certainly not, however they are to be viewed in
the light of their specific purpose and context, which is first of all
that of a philosophical guideline for the spiritual aspirant. These theories
can be considered scientific in a philosophical sense, but not in a way
which directly relates to the actual fields of astronomy, physics and
chemistry for example. To clarify this point a bit more without going
into detail, it suffices to say that the core concept is based upon the
paradigm of unbalancing the triangle of forces ("trikonatmika"),
which initiates the unfolding of the universe as we know it. Although
a very visual and appealing approach, it depends upon and incorporates
the individual stance. As a result, the problem of endless (philosophical)
regression may be avoided, but the issue of causation is not solved, which
is a prerequisite for a scientific approach. For the sake of completeness,
the philosophy of the unmanifested balanced triangle of forces as taught
e.g. in the Shaivite Tantra school should be noted here.3)
However, this is not a theory of Creation in the true sense.
Clearly, what is needed is a new approach providing the proper philosophy
and science of a causal universe, emerging from a non-causal, never changing
Universal Entity ("niityam shuddham niirabhasam..").
This is the new line of thought introduced by Shrii P.R. Sarkar in his
discourse about Microvita and Cosmology.
A New Cycle of Creation
The moment Shrii Sarkar introduces an advanced spiritual cosmology with
a scientific inclination, terms like "meta-physics", "esoterics"
and "abstract" may become obsolete. The idea however is, that
a scientific approach will appreciate and embrace perceived spiritual
values, rather than replacing them. Where the spiritual aspirant in his
or her perception assigns Brahma-hood to everything in this universe,
the microvita cosmologist will do the same but conceptually, that is,
in a truly scientific style. Both approaches imply the transcendence of
the individual stance, but in the case of microvita cosmology this no
longer means that the theory is inaccessible for further study or scientific
assessment.
In his new approach of cosmology, Shrii Sarkar has addressed the issue
of causation in the earliest stage of creation by distinguishing two different,
internal aspects (faculties) of the Supreme Universal Entity (in this
context called "Niirvishesha"). These are the "Krta Purusa"
(creative, actional, projective principle) and the "Jina Purusa"
(knowing, cognitive principle). This idea is not all that far from home
as traditionally we would say, for example, "God is the Creator of
this universe, and also the one who knows everything". However as
an actual philosophy and science of creation, this is a revolutionary
approach which, as we will see, may seriously challenge some core concepts
on the subject of creation which are prevalent both in science and in
traditional philosophy. Particularly, in the philosophies of Brahma Cakra
and the Tantric Theory of Creation, the specialised internal faculties
of the Universal Entity are in no way explicit.
On the practical level, the breakthrough conclusion, for the sadhaka
(spiritual aspirant) and the scientist alike, is the complete departure
from the idea that "tanmatra's" (inferences, inferential waves)
are radiated by objects. In microvita cosmology, this is no longer a proper
proposition. Shrii Sarkar explains as follows ( in short):
| Subjective A |
knowing principle (Jina Purusa)
|
| Objective A |
macrocosmic + microcosmic propensities |
| Subjective B |
actional principle (Krta Purusa) |
| Objective B |
macrocosmic inferences |
This means that inferences (those waves or information, we perceive through
our sensory organs), instead of being radiated by some object, are created
by the universal Actional Principle directly and are identified as its
objective counterpart. Objectivity (propensities), including actual objects
in the microcosmic scope, is created by the macrocosmic or microcosmic
Knowing Principle, and is identified as its objective counterpart. The
principle can be visualised as follows, using a somewhat simplified, microcosmic
example:

traditional |

microvita cosmology |
Whereas in the traditional viewpoint an "object" and its inferential
waves are directly, one-to-one connected, it is immediately seen that
in the new approach this is no longer the case. Object and inferences
are apparently unrelated and both have a different direct cause. This
may be difficult to understand first, as it could obviously never lead
to a normal, consistent manifestation. But it is simply the result of
letting go of the conventional, individual stance as used for Brahma Cakra
and the Tantric Theory. To solve this issue, Shrii Sarkar goes on explaining
two additional relationships binding the system together into a meaningful,
consistent whole:
| Subjective A (knowing principle) controls
and relates to Objective B (inferences) |
| Subjective B (actional principle) controls
and relates to Objective A (propensities) |
This means that, while object and inferences are no longer connected
directly, they are connected indirectly. This is an advanced, scientific
approach, compared to which the traditional idea of "an object radiating
tanmatra's" is but simple philosophy. The diagram for the complete
system is as follows:

In the diagram, the separation in a direct sense between
the object ("Objective A") and the inferences ("Objective
B") is obvious, as well as their indirect connection by means of
the resp. internal faculties of the Universal Entity, collectively called
"Niirvishesha". The collective name for the objective portions
is "Savishesha" and this is really the manifest world. The simple
example with the candle (or etc..) as above can no longer be used, as
the Krta Purusa is always macrocosmic (see first table). The complete
diagram of the internal operations of creation forms a closed loop, the
Cycle of Creation of microvita cosmology. If the Niirvishesha and Savishesha
compartments are drawn each at one side, the diagram looks as follows:

The Cycle of Creation of Microvita Cosmology
The inner physics of the Causal Matrix
In the above chapters, the main differences between microvita cosmology
and traditional philosophy were clarified (trancedental stance, yet with
a proper causal structure), as well as the practical core concepts for
the spiritualist as well as the scientist (inferences are generated by
a universal actional principle, and objectivity by a universal cognitive
principle). Now, to evolve the combined functions of the Krta Purusa and
the Jina Purusa into a truly scientific model, it is important to see
how inferences and objectivity together constitute the observed, manifest
world.
The table of the subjective and objective Faculties was
given in brief. The complete description by Shrii Sarkar is as follows
(maintaining the structure of above diagram for simplicity)
|
SUBJECTIVE B
Doing principle or supra mundane seed of the actional principle,
ready for being sprouted (microvita of different characters, either
of positive or negative nature, collectively maintaining the balance
of the actional universe, creating initial forms of carbon [carbonic?
- ed.] atoms that help macro- and micro propensities in having their
purely physical [i.e. material -ed.] auxiliary media with mass and
wants)
|
SUBJECTIVE A
Knowing principle or supra-mundane knowledge (expressed energies
of different characters; indestructible, interchangeable and inter-transmutable)
|
OBJECTIVE A
Planes of microcosmic and macrocosmic propensities
(different strata of mind: conscious, sub-conscious, physico-psychic,
psycho-physical, and psycho-spiritual [controlled by Subjective
B - ed.])
|
OBJECTIVE B
Planes of universal macrocosmic inferences and their
reflected and refracted inferences (planes of inferences which
are being activated, accelerated and stimulated by Subjective
A)
|
Within the macrocosmic stance, that is, outside the scope of the organic
microcosms, the cycle of creation is in a state of perfect equipoise,
there is no net fluctuation or wavelength and hence there exists no feeling
of separateness and diversity. Therefore, in the macrocosmic arena, the
total body of inferences is only in theory different from the sum total
flow of objectivation. This condition constitutes a primary feeling of
existence and a sense of continuation. But it is slightly different from
the cosmic "Mahat" (cosmic I-feeling) of philosophy as there
is no scope for extroversion or crudification whatsoever. Here, the Krta
Purusa functions as the receptacle of the sum total macrocosmic thought
projection and at the same time is the source of all inferential emanations.
The macrocosmic Cognitive Faculty or Jina Purusa is the receptacle of
all cosmic inferences and the source of the objective, existential flow.
Thus, the macrocosmic and macro-cognitive arenas exist outside the jurisdiction,
and are the precursor of time and space and the other physical attributes.
They together constitute the purely transcendental, existential stance
and causal matrix of creation and should not be considered the starting
point of "samkrama" (extroversial flow or crudification) in
any absolute sense.
The microcosmic universe is ever changing and can never be at rest. Hence,
although the causal matrix is the same for microcosm and macrocosm, in
the microcosm the Jina Purusa has a limited wave length and assumes the
form of a limited, pulsative flow. The differentiation between the Krta
Purusa and Jina Purusa has become from theoretical, to practical. This
sequential phenomenon inside the periphery of the primordial matrix forms
the existential bearing of each and every organic, and generally carbonic
entity and later with the help of Krta Purusa this will evolve the organic,
auxiliary media (sensory and motor organs). As the sequential forms are
always limited, so will the life span of all created entities and individual
organisms be limited. Below example is a bit simplified, but illustrates
the internal principles:
 |
 |
Within the microcosmic arena, the primary physical attributes are getting
manifested. This is different from the "Maha-bhutis" (fundamental
factors) of philosophy. Hence, all matter and energy in this universe
are the direct progeny of Jina Purusa, and not of Krta Purusa. The Krta
Purusa remains the ever transcendental receptacle of all life, atomic,
cosmic and biological. Infinite atoms are created by the Krta Purusa,
but matter and energy are the transformed, and transforming Jina Purusa
contained in smaller and smaller wavelengths. Therefore, according to
microvita cosmology, Krta Purusa functions as the cosmic facilitator and
acts globally, but creates disorder, whereas Jina Purusa acts locally,
but creates order in the manifested world. This is the state of affairs
in the macrocosmic and microcosmic arenas.

Both the Krta Purusa and the Jina Purusa relate to, control
and act upon their mutual objective counterparts, but it is a purely subjective
control. While Krta Purusa is the creator of life through its process
of synthesis of the macrocosmic thought projection, Jina Purusa is the
creator of objectivity through the analysis of the inferential body of
Krta Purusa. The Jina Purusa can be macrocosmic or microcosmic. On the
macrocosmic scale, Jina Purusa is the cause of orbital movements. On the
microcosmic scale, the Jina Purusa causes a feeling of perception and
individual existence. Generally, Jina Purusa constitutes a sequential
flow. However, Jina Purusa is not identical to the "Prakrti"
of philosophy. In microvita cosmology, gravity is no longer to be seen
as a blind attractive, material force. It is the controlling faculty of
Krta Purusa in the living macrocosmic arena, whereas Jina Purusa is the
creator of time and space, energy and inertia.
An example in the field of psychology: a family is like
a microcosm, the whole is more than just the physical sum of the parts.
Every member has its own individual perception, and their own intent and
objectives. Yet they all fit together harmoniously. This is the Krta Purusa,
the gravitational principle and living spirit inside, unifying the parts
to form the greater whole. Now, if one of the family members would for
example involve in this or that sort of indulgence which has a very negative
impact on the family life. Would that affect the Krta Purusa directly?
No, because it always remains the macrocosmic stance and facilitator,
ever unassailed. But certainly it would affect the scope of control of
Krta Purusa. Like P.R. Sarkar says, although Krta Purusa is the facilitator
of all inferences, it is Jina Purusa who "activates, accelerates
and stimulates" the [universal] planes of inferences (see above
schedule). This is the analysing quality of the cognitive faculty, creating
objectivity. In above example, the perception of this particular family
member apparently changed for some reason. As a result, his or her objectives
must also change whether or not intended so. Nothing can remain hidden,
and the increasing, odd inertial momentum will jeopardise the structural
integrity of the microcosm and the binding influence of Krta Purusa will
wane. Likewise is the case, for example, of an unstable radio-active,
element: it looses its life force, which logically constitutes a negative
force for biological cells and other higher forms.
So therefore, while the Krta Purusa always remains the supreme controlling
faculty of life, the local Jina Purusa is always moving and may or may
not equipoised. Hence, the approach in microvita cosmology is a singular
one, but it is not non-dualistic as in certain philosophies. The somewhat
deeper analysis is, that each and every inferential wave by itself constitutes
a short-lived microcosm. For example, a sound wave which we can hear.
The sum total balance of all inertial and accelerative forces, internally
and externally, keeping the wave alive, forms a nucleus outside time and
space, and this is the Krta Purusa. The function of the local Jina Purusa
is its logical analysis, and the objective result is the sound we hear
in the medium of time and space. Likewise, the macrocosmic Jina Purusa
perceives all the sounds of the universe simultaneously. The sum total
of inner forces within the Krta Purusa constitutes the gravitational factor
of the microcosmic world, and the logical object is physical matter. So,
the material world in general is the objective thought projection of the
cosmic Jina Purusa, whereas material objects, events and principles are
the progeny of the individual Jina Purusa. Every wave on its own will
soon disintegrate and its inner momentum will be assimilated back in the
primordial ocean. But if more waves exist together in a harmonious way,
this is the formula of life. Therefore, life is co-ordinated by the principles
of Krta Purusa and Jina Purusa, and its causal mechanics is the sub-ordinate
factor.
The systematic approach of how the causal matrix can form various harmonious,
coherent figures of forces in all planes of existence is the science of
Microvita, viewing the universe as a cosmic play right at the silver lining
of objective plus inferential forces, and the subtle media of the causal
matrix.

The "shape of life": for particles or waves to
become sustainable, the influence
of Krta Purusa prescribes a fractal (self-similar) principle, and hence
the Jina
Purusa creates (assumes) an actual fractal form. In the ancient fern,
we literally
see "a leaf in a leaf in a leaf.." (the left image is computer
generated using a
so-called "IRF-function", a simple fractal formula)
Microvita cosmology and wave-physics
In physics, Krta Purusa is the source of all waves, and Jina Purusa
constitutes the medium. Jina Purusa is the source of inertia and Krta
Purusa is the medium.
Now, waves can exist together in a belligerent way or in a harmonious
way. In the plane of waves interacting belligerently, there is a constant
turmoil and energy exchange, waves are being destroyed and new are being
created endlessly. This is the state of affairs in the normal, material
world and is known as thermo-dynamics. These waves may or may not fall
within the category of perception. If waves interact harmoniously, their
existence is more permanent. This constitutes an altogether different
plane or medium which falls outside the scope of perception, but may fall
within the scope of conception. This is known as symmetry-operations.
So there exist two different, emerging planes, two different media of
wave interaction and in reality the two are in constant motion and exchange,
forming a infinite, primordial flux of creative energy and charge.
A connection or bridge exists where many waves act
at one point, forming a singular pulse (e.g. "soliton") or vortex
or any other coherent figure where the belligerent and harmonious principles
easily swap places and effectively merge. This is the Macrocosmic singularity,
the controlling nucleus of all life. As the central hub and facilitator
of all waves in this universe, its own, inner net wavelength is infinite.
However where an additional sequential pattern emerges, a sense
of time and space is created, which will eventually evolve the individual
Jina Purusa. For example an atom: its central mass and energy, inner polarity
and wavelengths are all the result of the Jina Purusa or cognitive principle.
The physical and mathematical unification of those forces is the Krta
Purusa, a purely geometric state beyond the jurisdiction of time and space
in the primordial figure of the causal matrix.

In 1980 - 1981 the Voyager 1 and 2 missions captured telemetry
of a
hexagonal pattern around the North Pole of Saturn - a possible clue
of symmetry operations in the Causal Matrix of creation. Surely
these patterns cannot be accounted for by traditional physics..
Example: The human heart - a living microcosm
The electrical spectrum of the human heart (the ECG), if it is coherent,
shows a regular pattern of frequencies. It shows up as a so-called arithmetic
pattern or series ranging up to 20 Hz or more. The distance between the
individual frequencies is a measure for the actual heart rate. We all
know that, psychologically, the heart is also the centre of empathy and
a feeling of connectedness and belonging. We could call this heart intelligence,
or the cognitive function of the heart. It was discovered that the more
coherent the arithmetic pattern of frequencies in the heart is, the better
the feeling of empathy, wonder, even ecstacy. This internal cardiac coherence
can be measured directly with an instrument, the "Heart Tuner",
which is used by therapists, doctors and researchers worldwide.
A second aspect of the heart's physiology is the heart rate fluctuation,
for example as a result of exercise or emotions. But also in rest, the
heart rate shows a constant variation, called "HRV", Heart Rate
Variability. HRV varies from person to person and is commonly accepted
as a reliable predictor for health and life expectation. General HRV during
rest is a reflection of the homeostasis (dynamic equilibrium) of the human
body, and is controlled by the heart-brain nerve, the Nervus Vagus, which
is part of the parasympathetic nervous system. It was discovered by professor
Ary Goldberger of Harvard Medical School, that the heart rate fluctuation
(during rest), particularly if it forms a so-called "self-similar"
(or: "fractal") pattern, this is an indicator of optimal health,
practically one could say, of life force. HRV can be measured in various
ways, by different instruments (the Heart Tuner also has an HRV function).
Obviously, both above described measurements of the human heart are part
of the normal physics of the material world. However, at the same time
they are intimately connected to the far subtler planes of life force,
resp. cognition (in this case, empathy). Clearly, these subtler planes
or internal aspects, fall outside the range of direct measurement, but
within the range of conception. Mathematically, this subtle, hidden aspect,
can be analysed through so-called non-linear spectrum analysis of the
signals, showing what the patterns look like in geometrical space, that
is, in the form of symmetry-operations.
The same non-linear symmetry patterns, acting in three dimension like
for example in atoms and in living celestial bodies, are thought to form
the scientific basis of what became popularly known as "sacred geometry"
This way, the human heart, while combining both material and subtle aspects
especially when it is coherent, can serve as an ideal and accessible micro-cosmic
model of microvita cosmology. One you are carrying along with you every
second of your life..

| So-called "tachogram",

suggest that ideally the heart rate forms a fractal pattern (the bar

heart's electrical signal, and below the ECG spectrum - in this example
the spectrum is very regular ("coherent") although one peak

Conclusion
To close with Shrii Sarkar: "a day is sure to come when an
omega of mathematics will coincide with an omega of biochemistry"
- no doubt it will be the fields of biology and psychology, and life sciences
in general that will open up new frontiers in science, and physics in
particular, and close the chasms especially quantum physics and relativity
theory are currently leaving us with. Practically, from the emerging philosophy
and science of microvita cosmology we may infer that it is life itself
which forms the long sought for unification between gravitation and the
quantum world. Krta Purusa and Jina Purusa, together forming the Niirvishesha,
are ever transcendental. But one is the facilitator, the other is the
motivator. This, in shortest possible terms, constitutes the breakthrough
understanding of a newly emerging philosophy and science of creation.
This new line of thought, initiated by Shrii Sarkar, should be embraced
by, and paralleled with a truly open and receptive attitude from the sides
scientists and spiritualists alike, with no delay, so that "a
few problems in society will be solved a nice way".
