The "Four Chambers of the Universe" may be seen as a new cosmological approach proposed by P.R. Sarkar [discourse: 10 June 1989, Calcutta] which allows a proper description and classification of Microvita. The theory of Brahma Cakra, the "Circle of Creation", a rather perceptual, progressive approach of creation and the Tantric Theory of Creation, a rather conceptual approach based upon coherence among the three "guna's" (creative principles), seem to be less adequate in providing a proper scientific or cosmological context for Microvita. More on the scientific relevance of these philosophies: Brahma Cakra Update and Mathematics on the Silver Lining).

The subject of Vacuum Coherence Physics (further referred to as VCP) is the synthesis of many years of mostly private intuitional, theoretical and mathematical research for the first time concisely formulated earlier this year 2005. VCP is a scientific approach expanding traditional physics (the science of the created) with an actual science of creation. VCP is deeply coherent with intuitional ("spiritual") science and philosophy of creation but can be seen completely independent of it.

VCP describes physical transformations of a primordial creative medium referred to as the Vacuum Coherence Field, shortly VCF, underlying the physical world as we know it. The VCF includes a projective and a cognitive faculty, which are both essentially described as symmetry operations among vacuum fluctuations. This together verily constitutes the causal matrix of creation. VCP is proposed as a science of creation, not a science of "Creator", in other words it does not claim or attempt to describe that which is traditionally referred to e.g. as "Supreme Consciousness" and rather respects its perceived value. VCP is not a cosmology, but it can be applied to cosmology. Below is a most rudimental diagram of VCP:

Different aspects of VCP are covered in an expanding series of articles indexed at www.heartcoherence.
com/scienceindex. This index refers to various articles, animations and downloadable software and is regularly updated. To avoid this essay on the Four Chambers in the light of VCP becoming too verbose, it is suggested to read these articles separately.

The proposed application of VCP to the "Four Chambers of the Universe" and the classification of Microvita, is based upon one crucial advancement of VCP compared to intuitional science. In Microvita theory, Microvita are explained as entities "existing on the silver lining between matter and the Abstract" [P.R. Sarkar, R.U. discourse 31 Dec. 1986, Calcutta]. The word "Abstract" (in this context also referred to as "Idea") may be relevant in intuitional science and practice, it is definitely not very useful as a scientific (physics) term as it implies some sort of amorphous, unquantified and unquantifyable principle. For its relevance for Microvita science, some sort of internal physics, no matter how subtle, should be present and explainable. Right this physics is part and parcel of VCP, and moreover forms the very basis of it. Hence, in this capacity, VCP could be called a "physics of the Abstract".

The "Four Chambers of the Universe" can be pointed out in VCP, adding a quantifyable physical approach. Moreover, the "Four Chambers" appear in the different stages of creation according to VCP. Referring to www.heartcoherence.com/scienceindex, the subsequent phases of creation in VCP are in fact subsequent stages of internal coherence, resp:

creative phase:

mathematical / physics principle:

1st. : Geometric Coherence

Golden Mean based symmetry operations

2nd.: Spin Coherence

"Charge"

3rd.: Sequential Coherence

Octave based symmetry operations

These stages may be considered parallel to the different stages of creation according to Brahma Cakra and the Tantric Theory of creation.

Now, different cosmological approaches appear to emphasise a different causal orientation. Brahma Cakra essentially describes how a primordial Supreme Entity ("Supreme Consciousness") transforms (itself) into the material universe. This emphasises a sense of absolute causation, which is much in tune with the commonly perceived (and proclaimed) way how this universe was created (i.e. "by God"). The causal factor is also called the Supreme Subjectivity, and its result is objectivity. It is an attractive and very visual approach, although it has some serious scientific and even philosophical drawbacks. The Tantric Theory explains in a rather conceptual style how a cognitive or subjective principle ("Purusa") and operative principle ("Prakrtii", the combined guna's or attributional principles), creating the objective counterpart, are working together within the scope of subsequent phases of creation. Here, instead, the emphasis is much more on a relative causal orientation. Both philosophies are to a certain degree axiomatic, as they choose a certain perspective, and are therefore somewhat limited. This approach is called "non-dualistic - dualistic - non-dualistic" or "advaitadvaitadvaita" [P.R. Sarkar]. One could also call it "constructive non-dualism". So, while Brahma Cakra as well as the Tantric Theory emphasise a certain causal style of creation, it is somewhat confusing that the unspecific terms "subjective" and "objective" are used indiscriminately for either case.

An altogether different approach is the cosmology proposed with the "Four Chambers of the Universe". P.R. Sarkar indicates the following factors together creating the universe: "Objective A", "Subjective A", "Objective B" and "Subjective B", while emphasising that this is an altogether new system. These factors are then further interpreted using rather philosophical terms, in brief as follows:

Subjective A

(Supra-mundane) knowing principle

Objective A

Macro- and micro-cosmic propensities (strata of mind)

Subjective B

(Supra-mundane) actional principle

Objective B

Macro-cosmic inferences

According to P.R. Sarkar, these creative faculties interact by a criterion of equipoise whereby:

      • "Subjective A" relates to and controls "Objective B"
      • "Subjective B" relates to and controls "Objective A"

This new approach of cosmology appears to incorporate both causal flows or -orientations in one single system. The supra-mundane actional principle in combination with the inferential world would form the arena of relative causation (conceptual), whereas the supra-mundane knowing principle together with the strata of mind clarifies in fact the perception of creation in an absolute causal sense. Furthermore, in his cosmology, P.R. Sarkar clearly points out what seem to be the actual causal relationships, that is, in a cross-over sense. For the first time, this establishes a dynamic connection between what would classically be understood as absolute vs. relative causation. It is this innovative aspect which may provide the intuitive, scientific and cosmological basis for Microvita. This new system seems to be of rather non-dualistic character, although P.R. Sarkar gives a very keen hint in that the Supreme cognitive and creative faculties are expressing plus or minus equilibrium (superposition). This may be another advancement compared to both the Tantric Theory and Brahma Cakra, which both essentially thrive on a theme of unequilibrium alone.

In VCP there are no distinct qualifications of "objective" vs. "subjective" like in philosophy. Also, there is no predominant causal style, rather the causal style depends on the interpretation of VCP in a cosmological setting. Although VCP is clearly an absolute-causal approach in the sense that it expands traditional physics with a creative faculty, it also describes subsequent creative phases with each a different kind of physics, so in that respect also a relative style of causation is included. Hence, in terms of causal orientation, VCP incorporates both aspects, as does the Four Chambers.

Summarising the causal styles of the different theories:

theory

Brahma Cakra

"Supreme Entity creates and controls the Universe"

Tantric Theory of Creation

Projective Faculty + Cognitive Faculty

Now, in order to incorporate the physics of the VCF in Microvita cosmology we may replace the "Subjective A" (Supra mundane knowing principle) by the cognitive faculty of VCP, and the "Subjective B" by the projective faculty. This means that we use the cognitive faculty of VCP in a style of absolute causation, and the projective faculty in a style of relative causation:

The result is the following, integral causal diagram of the Universe:

The scientific relevance of the diagram is how the all over causal structure, in the way that was pointed out by P.R. Sarkar, evolves the physical universe as we know it, including the barely understood attributes of Gravity, Inertia and Life Force. While Sarkar makes his "cross-over" statement ("Subjective A" relates to and controls "Objective B" and "Subjective B " relates to and controls "Objective A") the question which immediately comes to mind is: if and how these qualities in fact relate within the scope of a single causal orientation? The answer is: within one specific orientation, there is no qualified causal relation as such, rather there is a perceived resp. conceived flow of facilitation. In other words, the cognitive faculty is the perceived facilitator and material cause of this universe, whereas the projective faculty is the conceived facilitator and efficient cause of its physics. This is completely coherent both with eastern tradition ("Prakrtii is authorised by P. Purusa to engage in creation") and with VCP ("charge is given the freedom to engage in its own physics, independent and out of direct control of the projective faculty"). In combination with the symmetry operations of VCP, the result is an exquisitely balanced play of subtle principles, forming an entirely new paradigm of physical creation. This further evolves the diagram as below, where the cross-over "control" arrows are drawn reversely, as it is a "subjective" control which creates a nice, infinite flow picture:

All the four principles are now working together in a dynamical style. In VCP (just as in intuitional sciences) the earlier phases of creation are rather theoretical. Hence it needs the existence of the final phase of material diversity to be able to discuss and qualify the earlier stages of creation in a meaningful way. In the final phase of the Vacuum Coherence Field, transformed under the spell of its imminent symmetry operations, the physical attributes of the material Universe come into existence. The arrangement of physical attributes is not explained in further detail at this point, but is a logical approach. The extended diagram looks as follows:

Obviously the term "Fundamental Factors" is not a known concept in traditional physics. Fundamental Factor ("cosmic mind stuff") is a term used in Brahma Cakra and is only in theory different from "ectoplasm" ("individual mind stuff"). It is not identical to matter, rather matter is Fundamental Factor plus inertia. The term Fundamental Factor is shown in the diagram of the material phase just for clarification and is roughly equal to entropy ("chaos"), increasingly under the spell of charge mechanics. Further, in VCP, gravitation is not a force but one aspect of the projective symmetry operations. Inertia is the other aspect. Matter (e.g. celestial bodies) is not subjected to a force, but follows orderly geodesics. Gravity is conceived of, and perceived as a force only when changing geodesics.

In above diagram of the final stage of physical transmutation, the four aspects are delicately equipoised and together form a living singularity. The quantification of this system forms its nucleus as well as its container at the same time ("non-local"), and this might be called a Microvitum. If the physics terms are replaced by pure principle terms, a principal diagram of a Microvitum could be, for example:

This simple diagram covers all the traditional "objective" and "subjective" aspects and causal relations of the created universe in a scientific context. With the help of VCP, this may further establish Microvita science as a system of quantifiable coherence among material and vacuum fluctuations. If a criterion of internal coherence or equipoise is omitted, the idea and system of Microvita no longer applies and another theory may come in place.

From this diagram, it is easily inferred, that:

      • "Consciousness" = Organising Principle + non-local aspect
      • "Creative physics" = Organising Principle + local aspect
      • "Matter" = entropy + local aspect
      • "Physics, inferences" = entropy + non-local aspect

In the diagram, Microvitum itself includes all aspects in the form of a living singularity. However if the projective faculty alone is taken as the material cause (i.e. of all other factors), it can be considered the source of emanation of Microvita or coherent charge.

A major challenge for further research, firstly intuitively and theoretically, is to classify various forms of internal coherence defining various Microvita. Clearly, the internal physics and mathematics of the supra-mundane actional and knowing principles (resp. projective and cognitive faculty) must be known. This can be the contribution of Vacuum Coherence Physics to Microvita Cosmology.

Additional notes:

  • In regard to the "Four Chambers", the terms of the I Tjing ("Greater Yin", "Greater Yang", "Smaller Yin", "Smaller Yang") come to mind. The permutations of four orientations (chambers) over three creative phases evolves the rather static cosmology of the I Tjing. Further, the ancient Swastika symbol ( ) is sometimes explained as symbolising a "heavenly" (non-attributional) and a "worldly" (attributional) dynamical flow. These are all cultural perceptions according to time, place and person.
  • The creation of microcosms is a very important and rich aspect of philosophy and science. Brahma Cakra is very explicit in this regard, and visualises the evolution of microcosms as a withdrawal phase of the creative action, in a setting of material diversity. The Tantric Theory of Creation is in no way explicit on the creation of microcosms. In microvita cosmology, as well as in VCP, microcosms are in fact the only thing created, much in the sense of the esoteric living atom "Anu". Hence, in microvita cosmology and VCP, life itself is the cornerstone of all creation.
  • The same system of quantified coherence in the earlier creative phases accounts for the more subtle type of Microvita.
  • In VCP, there are no fundamental forces. Fundamental are only symmetry operations. Then comes primary (non-electrical) charge, then the nuclear binding forces, then electromagnetism (attributed charge) and finally expressed gravitation and inertia. The nuclear binding forces are the reflection of the internal symmetry operations in the realm of time, place and person. Below the diagram with the forces:

  • In VCP there is a principle of "curved space" but not in the Einsteinian sense. That is, gravitational space is not curved normal space, it is the altogether transformation of one medium (that of symmetry operations) into another (that of normal physics). This transformation of physical medium also provides a simple recipe for atom architecture including sub shell filling.
  • The "Guna's" or creative principles known from intuitional sciences can be pointed out in VCP, and maybe even more interestingly, their lack of identity in the earlier stage of creation (homomorphic evolution) is clear. That is, geometric coherence among vacuum fluctuations is at the same time a sentient as well as a crudifying principle. Only when there is a perceived flow of similitude (sequential coherence) forming the material world, the imminent qualities become distinct in an infinite number of ways and intricacies, although eventually all will merge back.
  • It is known from chaos-theory (better: complexity-theory) that typically the tangential phase in between "order" and "chaos" creates fractality. Hence, from the viewpoint of complexity theory, Microvita could be considered fractal seeds of an essentially fractal universe.
